Maliasili Well has been out of action for nine months due to rusting and breakdown of the inner rods. Cost of reinstatement was beyond the village community, therefore the project made the descision to use funds for the repair. If left for any length of time a Well can become inoperable and as a clean water source is so vital it had to rectified. Therefore Abraham Ng’eni was called in to work for the project once again and sent to Singida Town to source new rods at the end of July. Abraham spent ten days overseeing the buying and installation of rods working closely with water council technicions. A report from Abraham is expected shortly and we thank him for his valued help; in the meantime here are some photos he was able to feed back to us.
